Dr. Tal Lavian is a scientist, technologist, and educator with over 25 years of experience in computer science and network communications. As a principal scientist at Innovations-IP, he consults in the area of telecommunications and networking technologies. He is also a CET Industry Fellow and lecturer at the UC Berkeley College of Engineering. He has over 80 patents issued and pending, and has co-authored over 25 scientific, peer-reviewed papers. He worked for eleven years at Nortel Research Labs where he created and chaired Nortel Networks’ EDN Patent Committee. As Principal Investigator, he led three US Department of Defense (DARPA) data networking research projects.
